A BILL to amend article nine, chapter sixty-four of the
code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred
thirty-one, as amended, by adding thereto a new
section, designated section twenty, relating to
authorizing the board of examiners in optometry to
promulgate a legislative rule relating to rules for expanded prescriptive authority.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article nine, chapter sixty-four of the code of
West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section,
designated section twenty, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 9. AUTHORIZATION FOR MISCELLANEOUS AGENCIES AND
BOARDS TO PROMULGATE LEGISLATIVE RULES.
§64-9-20. Board of examiners in optometry.
The legislative rule filed in the state register on
the twenty-eighth day of July, one thousand nine hundred
ninety-seven, under the authority of sections two-a and
two-b, article eight, chapter thirty, of this code,
modified by the board of examiners in optometry to meet
the objections of the legislative rule-making review
committee and refiled in the state register on the first
day of December, one thousand nine hundred ninety-seven,
relating to the board of examiners in optometry (rules
for expanded prescriptive authority, 14 CSR 2), is
authorized.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to authorize the Board of Examiners in Optometry to promulgate a
legislative rule relating to Rules for Expanded
Prescriptive Authority.
